This is a huge philosophical question, too big to be summed up in a comment box that fundamentally has to do with the concept of free will. Excellent post, fun video.

ReplyDeleteHumans react to ethical problems in different ways, if a robot could ever do so it would still be massively unpredictable

ReplyDeleteGood points some of you make. A question you could ask along side it is what is right and wrong? Do we even know? Robots may be able to be ethical but conclude something different than we might. But humans have to conform to ethics to get along in our society so could robots manage to do it too?
